Abstract

This paper attended to one of the most important bottlenecks of time-interleaving architecture for high-speed ADCs. A fully digital background calibration method based on maximizing the similarity between noiseless sub ADC channel and TI-ADC output has been proposed. An adaptive filter with arbitrary size has been used in channel one as noisy channel and it converges to the optimum value by using least-mean-square (LMS) algorithm. This method can be applied for more number of channels cases. Simulations validate the improvements in functionality of TI-ADC achieved by proposed method.
