Studying the Relationship between Psychological Empowerment and Job Satisfaction of Employees in Iran Khodro Axel Manufacturing Company
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between psychological empowerment and job satisfaction of employees in Iran Khodro Axel Manufacturing Company. The present study is considered as a descriptive-survey research. The statistical population of this study includes employees of Iran Khodro Axel Manufacturing Company (120 members). A sample of 92 employees was selected through random stratified sampling method. Two standardized questionnaires of psychological empowerment and job satisfaction were used for collecting the research data. In order to analyze the research data, both descriptive and inferential statistics were used in the SPSS16. The results of this study revealed that the averages of dimensions of psychological empowerment (except participation) and job satisfaction were more than average level (p≤0.05). The results of Pearson Correlation Coefficient Test showed that there is a significant relationship between psychological empowerment and job satisfaction. In this regard, participation and competence have the most and lowest correlations respectively. Another part of our findings revealed that the dimensions of psychological empowerment (except effectiveness, meaningfulness, and participation) are considered as reliable predictors of job satisfaction.
