The Relationship between Psychological Empowerment and Hardiness to Life Expectancy (Case Study: Psychology Students of Islamic Azad University, Sirjan)
Abstract
The aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between psychological empowerment and hardiness to life expectancy which was conducted in a sample of 96 students of Psychology of Islamic Azad University, Sirjan, by using a random sampling method. Tools for collecting data from the participants were Miller life expectancy questionnaire, Ahvaz psychological hardiness, and researcher-made questionnaire for psychological empowerment. SPSS software was used to analyze the data which, in this regard, a meaningful positive relationship between the variables was examined by Pearson correlation test; then multiple linear regression method (inter) was used to study the predictive role of the life expectancy by variables of psychological empowerment and hardiness. The results showed that a meaningful and positive relationship existed between the variables of psychological empowerment and hardiness to life expectancy (p<0.05) and these variables can predict some part of the life expectancy of the participants.
