The Descriptive Evaluation of different Life Quality of Normal Women and Violence Affected Women
Abstract
In the recent years, efforts for enhancing the level of womens mental health have stimulated many psychological researches, because women are considered as the most important member of the family, and society that consists of healthy women is certainly a healthy society, and the condition of having a healthy family is that their members be healthy. The current research aims to compare the life expectancy, quality of life, and attachment styles in women being affected by violence who visit forensics and normal women. The current research methodology is descriptive and it is a casual-comparative research. The research population includes all of the women being affected by violence who visit forensics in Bojnord and all of the normal women living in Bojnord. The current research sample is 120 examinees (60 normal examinees and 60 examinees being affected by violence). The simple random sampling was used for choosing the samples. Results showed that Life expectancy variable was not significant in neither groups (sig=0.087), but in quality of life variable at level 0.01 (sig=0.001) and also in attachment styles variable at level 0.05 (sig=0.027) they are significant, yet the variable of secure attachment style (sig=0.535) is not significant, Results showed that the variable of ambivalent insecure attachment styles (sig=0.002) at level 0.01 is significant thus both groups have significant differences in terms of variable of ambivalent insecure attachment styles. On the other hand, the variable of avoidant insecure attachment style (sig=0.583) is not significant, thus neither groups have significant differences in terms of variable of avoidant insecure attachment style. Regarding the current research results it is highly recommended to hold educational sessions in order to enhance the life expectancy, life skills, positivism and stress management for women.
